Syzygium Australe - Aussie SouthernOther Names: Scrub Cherry, Brush Cherry, Creek Satinash, Native Myrtle. This a very fast growing columnar lillipilly that is an excellent choice for screening in narrow spaces. It will grow to 8 meters but can be pruned to any height. Use it exclusively in out topiary work. Hardy and pest free it is smothered in white flower in spring and summer. Uses: The Spongy fruits have a fragrant, refreshing taste. Colonists made them into wine. Yummy. One for the garden.
