Spotted Marsh Frog ( Limnodynastes tasmaniensis ) Description The Spotted Marsh Frog is a light brown to olive-green frog with large, irregular green or brown spots. Some specimens have a thin cream, yellow or orange stripe along the back from the snout to the vent. It has a raised pale stripe from below the eye to the base of the arm. The underside is white. Other Names Spotted Grass Frog Size 4.5cm Environment found in many habitats, including, dams, ditches, ponds, flooded grassland and slow moving creeks in urban areas, farmland, woodland. Breeding lays eggs in a floating foamy nest Range The Spotted Marsh Frog is found throughout New South Wales, Victoria, eastern South Australia, most of Queensland and eastern Tasmania.
